1) We had a case of cholecysto-duodenal fistula which had been treated with duodenal diverticulkation and cholecystectomy. We had good result, so we would like to review literatures and summerize symptom, diagnosis and treatment, here.
2) Hew- as a 49 years old male. He had a big stone which impacted at choiecysto-duodenal fistula. At sametime, he had complete obstruction of pylorus according to upper G-I series.
3) We have made conclusion that cholecysto-duodenal fistula should be considered as one of
differential diagnosis of pyloric obstruction, eventhough it is a rare disease in our country.
4) As we encountered in this case, if closure of duodenal fistula is difficult, there are alternative methods such as duodenal diverticulization or Bancroft gastrectomy to prevent side fistula. Duodenal diverticulization should be used more often than we thought in case of cholecystoduodenal fistula.
